MUNDULLA ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

The showgrounds at Mundulla make an excellent overnight stop, quietly set off the main road with beautiful grounds and gorgeous sunsets. Sites run at a modest nightly rate with or without power, paid by honesty box, and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean with hot showers operated by two dollar coins for around six minutes — worth having the change ready. There is a great children's playground, dogs are welcome, and the whole site is maintained by volunteers to a standard that puts many paid parks to shame. The general store is a five minute walk and bakes its own bread, though it does not open on weekends. The footy and netball club is welcoming on training nights.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
